AN EYE FOR AN EYE …

“While arab Peoples are getting rid of their dictators one by one, yet they do not seem more happy fo that. Anger and hatred seem to linger into their chests. An endless desire for vengeance rattles their hearts which are polluted with a craving for more and more blood. We have in mind the recent images of the lasts moments of Ghaddafi which were scandalously barbaric and made everybody think that those who are replacing him aren’t much better.

Once, the Mahatma Gandhi, witnessing the endless retaliations between Hinduists and Muslims, said: “An eye for an eye and the World will end up totally blind”. Anger, desire for vengeance and the violence which results from these feelings, are escapes, psychological outlets for memorized pains which turn in loop within our heart. After retaliations there are retaliations to retaliations and the process may become chronic and endless, we better cut these cycles and just accept the pain that still burn inside and let it die slowly, without trying to throw it on others. The fire of anger is the fire we’ll find in Hell. Better let our anger retrieve its primal form which is mere pain and let it break into tears that roll and drop on our cheeks like human tender pearls. Killing another human being will not bring back our loved ones anyway, nor will it make us retrieve our years bent under injustice or lost in prison”. Peoples must stand for their freedom not for vengeance.
